Item Brands and Sub-departments

A quick look at exciting new features.

We've been hard at work on new features and wanted to take a moment to write about a few of our favorites!

Item Brands

Item Brands allow you to assign a brand (Encore®, Proven Winners®, e.g.) to each inventory item, allowing you to monitor and compare sales volume, profit margin, shrinkage, and other metrics by brand. This feature allows you to better identify and act on brand-specific trends.

The Encore and Proven Winners logos are property of their respective owners.


Another great new way to do reporting is via the new sub-department feature, which provides a mechanism for further categorize items within a department. For example, you might have a department named "Trees" and a new sub-department named "Fruit". You can then generate sub-department specific reports or even assign different sub-departments to different buyers. We're excited about the flexbility this new item feature will provide!
